Studio 143 Week 11

In an attempt to upstage Mr. Baker's Calculus self portraits, we will be creating coloring book pages of ourselves to be put on display outside the classroom. This project is required for all members of Studio 143, even The Bark Staff.  Please follow the following steps:

1) Take a picture of yourself with some kind of accessory.

2) Open a new Photoshop document -- 8 x 10 and 300 ppi.

3) Open your picture for editing

4) Create a coloring book page by using one of the following tutorials:

Accounting week 10

Accounting 1

-Each day this week you will have a warm up assignment. You must complete that warm up before working on your final project.

-All final projects are due on Friday -- I will check them whenever you have them complete this week.

Accounting 2

FINAL EXAM

-You will choose 3 corporations traded on the stock market (find them at yahoo finance).

-For each corporation, you will find the following information:
              - Net Income for first quarter of 2011 or last quarter of 2010 whichever is available.
              - Percent change in net income from previous quarter (or previous year, please be specific)
              - Total Assets
              - Total liabilities as a percent of assets (divide total liabilities by total assets)
              - Last dividend paid out to stockholders

-You will use this information to analyze which company is in a better position to grow and which company is a better investment option.

- Your comparisons of numbers should be one page long and your analysis should be no less than one page long.

-Due Thursday!

-Create a Prezi that contains at least 10 examples of the work you have completed this trimester.

-In your Prezi, you must add a path so it moves on its own.

-Embed your Prezi on your blog...we will present on Thursday and Friday.

Seniors must write one final article for the Bark Online. This article will be due on Thursday.

Studio 143 Week 9

Studio 143 Personal Poster

This week you will create a Studio 143 Personal Poster.  This poster must meet the following criteria:

1. Be 18 x 24 and have a resolution of 300 ppi.

2. Include your own personal logo for Studio 143 in the center of the poster (yes the first thing you must do this week is actually create a logo for studio 143) -- If you don't know about creating logos, look up logos for tv stations or movie studios, or just corporate logos in general.

3. After creating and placing you logo, you must include aspects from 10 of your best projects. You cannot simply place your projects on your poster, you must take your favorite part of each project and place that on the poster.

4. Your name in the bottom right hand corner of the poster (giving yourself credit for your work)

5. Excellent photoshop work -- You need to create a clean project that you would be proud of.

Studio 143 Week 7

Studio 143

Famous Places Poster Week

You will choose a group of famous places that interests you. Examples are:

          - Famous Baseball Stadiums
          - Famous National Parks
          - Famous City Sky lines
          - Famous Colleges
          - Wonders of the World

1) Choose a group of places and have it approved
2) Choose 5 places from that group to make posters of
3) Search for pictures that are not copyrighted using advanced search options (search for photos licensed for reuse with modification) -- you can also search for photos on http://www.flickr.com/ (all photos are licensed for reuse through Creative Commons)
4) Use 1 PhotoShop Tip from Week 1-7 (your choice) for each poster
5) Your photos should resemle the following poster (but should not be exactly like them)


  6) When you finish each poster, post them to your blog and list the PS Tip that you used.
