Tri 2 Week 1: Time Travel Project

Tasks:
1. Find an old photograph from a famous event. Use the internet, my US History book, or one of my historical books from the back of the room to find the photo. (if we need to scan a pic in we can).
2. Place yourself in this photo by using Photoshop filters or tools to make you look as if you belong. This means, you must match the graininess of the photo, you must be dressed in time period clothing, and you must be aligned appropriately so as not to stick out like a sore thumb.
Requirements:
1. 8 x 10 or 10 x 8, 300 ppi
2. Use a black border (Like an inspirational poster -- thicker on the bottom than top and sides)
3. Text must read: "Studio 143 - (add a catchy phrase here)" and underneath should list in smaller font the event name, date, and place.
4. Post on your blog - We will print the top 5 from each class (in full color if necessary).
Tri 2 Lab 1: Blogger (For new students)
Objective: Students will create a blog that will be used throughout the trimester to post their work.
Requirements for this lab: As you can see, there are several skills that one needs to be able to do to successfully create and maintain a blog. Some of these include:
1. Setting up your account
2. Creating, editing and publishing a post
3. Organize your posts with your own tagging system
4. Link to resources outside your blog
Tasks that must be completed by the end of the week:
1. Set up your own blogging account with blogger (www.blogger.com). If you have a gmail account, it is preferred that you use that. If you already have a blogger account, you may use that account.
2. Please post your url, by copying and pasting it in the form provided onstudio143andmore.blogspot.com.

Final Exam - Prezi
For your final exam: You will rank your top 5 projects of the trimester and present them to the class during your final exam period.
Requirements:
1. You must use Prezi.
2. You must start with Your Name Final Project
3. You must rank in order 1 to 5 or 5 to 1 your favorite projects of the trimester.
4. You must include a path so your Prezi works for itself.
5. On your blog, you must write as much as you need to explain why you chose these 5 projects and why they were your favorite.
These must be completed by the end of the week as you will present during your exam time.

Week 11: Bond Proposal Brochure
This week is your last project of the trimester.
You and a partner (that is ONE other person) will work together to create an informational brochure for the school district concerning the upcoming bond proposal.
Legally, this brochure can only be informational, you can not seem supportive for this issue. We are just trying to get the facts out there.
The bond, which will be voted on in early 2013 contains the following provisions:
Project Requirements:
1. You must first create a rough draft of your brochure (due by end of class Monday).
2. Take pictures as necessary.
3. Use either Microsoft Publisher (easy) or Photoshop (a little more difficult but might look better)
4. Create a brochure that includes all of the information provided.
5. Print a rough copy by end of class Friday.

Objective: Use prezi.com to create an interactive presentation about yourself.

2. Even if you have made a prezi before, they changed their interface, so take some time to get used to their new command tools.
3. Create a presentation that highlights the items listed below about yourself. (Each point must include a picture)
4. Present to the class on Thursday.
