Week 7: Movie Trailer

This week you and your group will be creating a movie trailer using the iPad and the iMovie software.

Making movies, is not just about filming and editing clips. A successful movie or short film takes as much planning as it does shooting and editing. Use the Film Making Recipe given to you as a guide for how much time you should spend on each aspect of film making. With iMovie, the time in the recipe can even be cut shorter.

Requirements:

1. Choose your group members. (before you can move on to the next step, you must communicate with me your group).
2. Using the iPad, choose a theme for your movie trailer. (again, you must run this by me first).
3. Use the iMovie template to create a story board that includes the following for each slide: Any text necessary, camera angle, setting, drawing of the scene. (can not move to next step without this being approved also).
4. Film your movie trailer in iMovie. This way you can cut and edit as you go.
5. Review your movie for errors in shooting and text.
6. Reshoot any scenes you need to.
7. Post to youtube (have to run this by me also).
